Ninja Training and Big News!

Our schedule has been all over the place for the last week because we have some big news:

We're moving!

We've sold our house and bought an acreage farther out and we couldn't be more excited for all the changes! It's going to take some adjusting moving from suburban to rural life, but we are thrilled to start the new adventure.

Since the couple of weeks have been filled with packing and cleaning, we had to get creative with our schooling. Ava has discovered the app Adventure Academy and within it, has been learning lots of wonderful things. This past week, she has focused on learning how to write a book. She's learned about everything from hooks to how to combat writers block.

She's been so dedicated to her writing that she's started taking her notebook with her when we go out, even writing at Owen's swimming lessons!

She has an incredible imagination and her story is turning out to be wonderful. I'm so excited that she's taken an interest in using this creative outlet.

Not only is it a great way for her to express her creativity, but it's helping with her penmanship, spelling, and reading.

The kids also had an opportunity to go to a ninja gym and try out their skills! They loved being able to swing, walk along narrow boards and run along a parkour wall!

We also ventured to downtown Vancouver to check out the T-Rex exhibit at Science World. We got to see replicas of a T-Rex as it grew from a baby to adult as well as touch some real fossils! It was a fantastic learning experience for these young Dino lovers.!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Mother's Day! I was treated to a scavenger hunt, relaxing gifts, as well as some thoughtful treats from our Church! They set up this photo wall, the kids made scrolls for us to make Scripture Cookies (which we will do later today), and all moms got a rose!
