It's a new school year and we are excited to get back into it! I had every intention of continuing our homeschooling journey throughout the summer but life got in the way and that didn't happen.
We moved to a gorgeous acreage that we are all in love with and have spent our time exploring nature and learning about the land around us.
That being said, I do like routine and it's nice to fall back into one. With us staring Grade 1 and Grade 4 it will be exciting as we take on units like Dinosaurs, Living off the Land, Space, and Botany.

Ever since we started packing, the kids had been talking about what they would do with the empty boxes once we started unpacking. The consensus was a massive fort and tunnel. With every box that was unpacked, they took it and saved for their fort. The end result was pretty impressive and gave them days of adventure.

Being in the area we are now, we are so blessed to have so much to see and do around us. At the end of our driveway is a trail up the mountain, which the kids and their dad have explored a few times now, even reaching the lookout at the top of the trail!

While we may be losing time exploring the outdoors when fall really sets is, we are excited for what it does bring. Owen started hockey and Ava starts up her dance. They will go back to routines with friends and the activities they love. They will also be starting at an outdoor forest school, giving them a chance to learn more about nature and the land around them year around.
We can't wait to see what this year will bring!
