Hello, and welcome to my free-range classroom!

My family has been homeschooling since the start of the pandemic in 2020, and have since discovered just how freeing it truly is to be in control of not just what we learn, but how we learn it.

I didn't grow up being homeschooled, or even have that being talked about as an option. So when it came to home learning when everything was shut down, I'll admit - I panicked. I'm not a teacher. How am I qualified to teach my children anything? But once we got started I saw that it was less about what you know, and more about connecting with your children. Finding their interests and from there, it's incredible to watch them grow and learn.

I hope you follow along our journey and maybe pick up a few ideas along the way as we learn through exploring our own backyard.
